George Gruhn

"If you become a collector, which is, in effect, an addiction... The addiction can be self-sufficient. That’s how people get started as antique dealers or art dealers. If you want to deal vintage and used instruments profitably, you must have in-depth knowledge. If you are motivated as a collector and have the perseverance to study the subject in depth, you may succeed as a vintage instrument dealer. Otherwise the best way to make a small fortune in the musical instrument business is to start with a large one." (George Gruhn, 2020)
